Abineet Parichha from Odisha is ICSE all India topper

Odisha boy Abineet Parichha emerged as the topper in the ICSE Class 10 Examination-2016, the results of which were announced by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations on Friday.

A student of Little Flower School in Bolangir, Abineet has secured 99.2 per cent with 100 marks each in mathematics, social science and computers, 98 marks in Science and English and 96 in Odia.

After achieving this feat, Abineet Parichha said the result came as a pleasant surprise to him. “I was hoping to score above 95 per cent, but never expected to be an all-India topper,” who wants to pursue a career in Cosmology.

Another student from Odisha Karan Agrawal of St Paul’s School, Rourkela has secured third position in all India in ICSE with 98.8 % marks.

In Odisha, a total 6848 students of 88 schools have appeared the ICSE exam while 1502 students of 27 schools appeared the ISC exam. The pass percentage of ICSE and ISC students in Odisha is 98.22 % and 92.34 % respectively.
