Anand Atma Baba sent to jail, fell unconscious during remand
Anand Atma ashram’s chief Alok Bisoi alias Anand Atma Baba was sent to jail after his bail plea was rejected by a court today.
Bisoi was produced before the court as his two-day police remand ended today.
The Salepur police on Tuesday interrogated Anand Atma baba for the second consecutive day regarding the death of a youth in his ashram.
Sources said, the baba fell unconscious several times during the course of interrogation.

The police have taken the baba on two-day remand. He was arrested following allegation that a local youth was allegedly murdered and burnt to death in the ashram.
The Salepur SDJM court in Cuttack on Sunday granted three days remand of Ananda Atma Baba to Cuttack police for further interrogation into the mysterious murder of a local youth on Saturday whose half-burnt body was found in Baba’s Rameshwar ashram at Salepur.
Cuttack (Rural) SP Gurudas Kundu informed that the police have taken Ananda Atma on three-day remand.
He informed that three squads have been formed led by SDPO Suryakant Ray to inquire into the mysterious murder of the youth.
