Now people in Odisha can buy OMFED milk and other milk products online. Orissa State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation Limited (OMFED) on Monday signed a MoU with Grozip, a city-based online grocery service.
Grozip will make home delivery of various OMFED products on a phone call or click of a mouse. Omfed and Grozip will be able to sell perishable milk and dairy products online within three hours.
Alongside milk, paneer, curd, table butter, dairy whitener, sweet flavoured milk, and other desserts will also be available. Initially, the service will be available only in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack and then expanded to other cities.
It a sizable costumer base who buy various products like grocery and vegetables from them and now the costumers can get milk through it too,” said managing director of OMFED, Vishal Gagan. He however denied that OMFED has any surplus milk. OMFED is also going to launch its own mobile APP (application) soon through which customers can directly order milk and milk products, he added.
“We have a customer base of around one lakh in the last one and a half years. We have plans to offers attractive schemes for customers like cash back and free delivery on a minimum order. We get around 60 to 100 orders a day from Cuttack and Bhubaneswar for various grocery items including vegetables. We are also planning to include cooked food in our products soon,” said Anand Mishra, CEO and founder of Grozip.
