Congress Guarantee Card for farmers, youths, women of Odisha

Congress President Rahul Gandhi launched the ‘Congress Guarantee Card’ for every farmer, youth and woman of Odisha. He launched it at a massive rally in Rourkela on Feb 6.

Rahul Gandhi said that Congress has taken a decision that in the year 2019, if the electorate blesses the Congress to form the next government in Odisha, the party will fulfil each promise made in the Guarantee card.

For Farmers: With the tagline “Chasa Mora, Desha Mora (My Produce, My Country)” the guarantee card for farmers translates into the promise of farm loan waiver on the first day of government formation, MSP of 2600 for paddy, MSP with bonus for all pulses. Plus, the Congress party is guaranteeing financial assistance to farmers for the next 5 years, if elected to power.

For Youths: The guarantee card for the youth reads “Rozgar Mora Adhikar (Employment Is My Right)” and assures a job to one member of every family (Government or Non Government), Minimum Income Guarantee and contractual employees to be made permanent.

For Women: The women of Odisha will be guaranteed “Sikhya, Surakhya, Samman (Education, Security and Respect)”. The card promises financial assistance for higher education and marriage of girl child, water connection to every household and trained women security officer in every Panchayat.
