Dr Sudeep Satpathy first doctor from Odisha in Olympics

Dr Sudeep Satpathy becomes first doctor from Odisha to join any Olympics.

Dr Satpathy, Associate Professor of Physiology in Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), has been selected as sports medicine doctor for Rio Olympics 2016.

Dr Sudeep Satpathy has been selected by the Olympic authority on the basis of his performance and experience in the field of sports medicine.

He completed his MBBS from VSS Medical College in Burla and Diploma in Sports Medicine from International Olympic Committee. He is also a Member of the prestigious faculty of sports and exercise medicine, Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians in Ireland.

Dr Sudeep Satpathy was also the team doctor of the Sachin Tendulkar owned Kerala Blasters FC in the Indian Super League 2015.
