Debasish-Padmini 3rd in India’s Dancing Superstar

Debashish (13) and Padmini (12), young dancers from Odisha, have finished third in “India’s Dancing Superstar”. The teens competed with professional dancers in the show.

“It was an experience of a lifetime. We never expected to secure top three position in the show,” said Padmini, a class-VII student of Stewart School, Bhubaneswar.

“It was a great moment for us when people recognized us at Mumbai airport and asked to get photographed with us. We felt like celebrities,” said Debashish, a class-IX student of Saraswati Sishu Mandir, Sailashree Vihar.

The duo reached Bhubaneswar on Sunday.

India’s Dancing Superstar is a dance based reality show on Star Plus, judged by choreographers Geeta Kapoor, Ashley Lobo and actor Riteish Deshmukh.

The two young dancers knew each other during auditions for the dance show in February, decided to dance together and there is no looking back since then.

“We have got an offer to perform in ABCD-2 the next film by great dancer Prabhu Deva. However, we have not yet decided whether to act or not,” said Debashish, adding, “Studies are our top priority now.”

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar And Sonaskshi Sinha made a guest appearance on the occasion and promoted their upcoming film ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Dobara’ in the final. (Source – The Times of India)
