Independence day is celebrated on 15th August of every year in remembrance of our freedom from British rule. It is a national holiday in our country India. India got freedom on 15th August 1947. This day is celebrated all over the country with flag hoisting, parades, singing patriotic songs, speeches by renownned personalities.

The main event takes place in New Delhi with a grand parade by all states’ jhankis, Air Force, Army, Navy drills. The main flag hoisting ceremony takes place in Red Fort by Prime Minister of India and then a speech regarding our country’s past, present and future. This program is telecasted on National television live from Delhi.
