History –

The ORISSA SOCIETY OF AMERICAS (OSA) is a officially registered association of Oriyas living in USA and Canada. It is a non-political, non-profit and voluntary association established under 501(c)(3) rule in United States. It is established in the year of 1969 with the effort of some NRI Odia people living in America to create a Odisha like atmosphere in the foreign land. Main motto of the association is promoting activities for a better understanding of oriya culture and exchange of information between Orissa, USA and Canada.

Current Status –

Now the society has more than 700 members participating in every activities organised by the association. The Organisation is now spread into thirteen regional chapters (branches) across USA, Canada. All the chapters are promoting oriya culture by celebrating religious festivals, social get together, cultural events in respective areas.

Vision –
  • To provide a mutually supportive environment for the better interaction of Oriya immigrants of North American countries through socio-cultural growth, friendship and fellowship.
  • To enhance the awareness of Orissa and Oriya traditions in North America through cultural promotion, social events, and developmental activities.
  • To facilitate the exchange of information between Orissa, United States and Canada.
