Odisha recorded 75% polling in first phase elections which held on April 10.
“As per the latest information, the voter turnout in the first phase of polls in Odisha is 75 percent. Nabarangpur has recorded the maximum of 82 percent polling”, said CEO Mona Sharma at a press briefing today.
Replying to a question from the media persons, she said repolling would be held in 12 booths where electronic voting machines (EVMs) were either set on fire and damaged by miscreants and five booths where the machines went out of order.
“I have informed this to the Election Commission of India (ECI), which will fix a date of repolling in these booths”, she added.
