Odia singer Pragya Patra sings for Australian movie – The Colour of Darkness

Mumbai-based Odia singer Pragya Patra recently lent her voice to an Australian movie titled ‘The Colour of Darkness’ directed by Girish Makwana.

Pragya Patra of Odisha had left her handsomely paid job with Google to jump into music and singing and was a prime contestant in national singing reality show ‘The Voice India’ aired on &TV (And TV).

After release of her first Hindi song o piya ye tune kya kiya, in the Australian film, she has proved her expertise in singing a high pitched romantic song that is laced with semi classical composition.

The Colour of Darkness is slated for release at the Indian Film Festival in Melbourne in Australia next month. Upbeat about the film which focuses on Indians residing in Australia, Pragya feels the film can take her career graph upwards after release.

Pragya Patra has also founded Punyaa Productions, her own company that encourages upcoming singers to produce their own music videos and help them get in touch with composers, musicians, singers and music producers in Mumbai.
