Odisha film stars to promote Khadi products as Ambassadors

Odisha film stars – Akash Das Nayak, Sabyasachi Mishra, Archita Sahu and Anu Choudhury appointed as brand ambassadors to promote khadi products.

Chief minister Naveen Patnaik presented models of charkha to the artistes at the exhibition, ‘Khadi Haat’ held at the Odisha Khadi and Village Industries Board’s premises on Friday.

The CM emphasized on technology and innovative designs to revive the khadi industry in the state. To popularize the use of khadi among youths, Naveen urged the authorities to adapt khadi so that wearing it could be a style statement.

According to official sources, the khadi board is expecting over 5 lakh visitors to the exhibition, which is likely to continue till December 23.

The khadi board will hold fashion shows in the evenings from December 19 to 23. The board has also engaged fashion designer Subhrajyoti Das Nayak to design products in khadi.
