4 Odisha institutes in Top 100 list of NIRF India Rankings 2019

Four educational institutes from Odisha found a place in Top 100 list of NIRF India Rankings 2019. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings for higher educational institutions was released by President Ramnath Kovind at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi this afternoon.

The ranking has placed National Institute of Technology, Rourkela at 38th position while Bhubaneswar-based Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University secured 41st spot. Among others, Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar, got 46th rank and Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar, at 50th position in the overall category.

Rankings were announced under nine categories like Overall, Universities, Colleges, Management, Pharmacy, Medical, Architecture, Engineering and Law this year.

Country wise, IIT Madras topped the overall category and IISc Bangalore is placed as the top institute in Universities category. In Universities category, IISc Bangalore and JNU New Delhi are placed in top two positions respectively.

Delhi University’s Miranda House has topped the list of best colleges in India.
