Odisha Raj Bhavan gardens will be opened to the general public and students from January 6 to January 20.
Visitors will be allowed to enter the garden from the Gate No. 2 near Main Gate of Raj Bhavan from 2.00 PM to 4.30 PM on every day including holidays and Sundays.
People can now visit the lawns, gardens and deer park inside the premises of the governor’s secretariat-cum-residence.
“Every year during winter we take children to the Raj Bhavan gardens, which are beautifully maintained. Since entry is prohibited at other times of the year, there is always curiosity among people to know what is there on the other side of the tall walls,” said Prakash Mishra, a teacher at a local school.
The main attraction of the gardens are the rose bushes, the cactus house, the orchid house, the deer park, the fountain and the ayurvedic garden.
