Lipi’s full name is Lipi Parida. Her father was an Additional Superintendent of Police. He wanted her to become an IPS. But Lipi was attracted to dance, acting from her childhood. She got inspirations from her mother Bandana to enter into oriya entertainment industry. Lipi has completed her graduation from Mahamayi Women’s College, Berhampur.

Lipi’s first album song was ‘Mu bina Ghungura re Nachibi’. She has acted in more than 3000 album songs. So she has been named as Album Queen in Odisha. Her first oriya film was Prasant Nanda’s ‘Om Shanti Om’.
