Partha Sarathi Ray grew up in Bhubaneswar. He has completed graduation in history. He wanted to follow his dreams of acting in movies. So he took up a job in Delhi and joined Barry John’s theatre group there in 2004. Within two years, he got several opportunities to play short roles in films in Mumbai and also did a few advertisements there.
Now he has returned to home city and following his dream here in odia films. Within a year, Partha was signed for two films both with interesting storylines. Those two films are Nai Separi Kanak Gori and Gadbad.
Nai Separi Kanak Gori is almost ready for post-production work. In the film, he is playing a doctor, who tries to change the backward life and society of a remote village called Gadamadhabpur.
Gadbad is an out-and-out comedy and has a very relevant story for people of the state. It is about three youngsters, who have come from different regions in the state to make it big in the capital city.
For Partha, professionalism in Mumbai industry is incomparable. But, the Odia film industry is where he feels at home. (Source – The Telegraph)
