PM Narendra Modi arrives in Odisha Capital Bhubaneswar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives in Biju Patnaik International Airport of Odisha Capital Bhubaneswar on Saturday.

He was received by Governor SC Jamir and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik after landing in Biju Patnaik International Airport at about 11:00 PM on a special Indian Air Force plane.

Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, PNG Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, BJP Odisha President Basant Panda, Biswa Bhusan Harichandan, Dillip Ray, Suresh Puraji, Bhubaneswar Mayor Anant Narayan Jena were also present at the airport to welcome the Prime Minister.

Tight security arrangements had been made by SPG and Commissionerate Police as per the ‘blue book’.

Modi will stay at the Raj Bhavan tonight. He will inaugurate the new campus of National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar tomorrow at about 9 AM.

He will then fly Puri to pay obeisance to Lord Jagannath at about 11 AM. After spending an hour in Puri temple, he will fly to Paradip, where he will dedicate the 15 MMTPA Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) oil refinery at about 1 PM.

He will leave for Vishakhapatnam from Biju Patnaik International Airport at about 3:35 PM.

Modi is likely to visit the state again later this month on February 21 to address a mega rally of farmers in Bargarh.
