Saral Rozgar job card launched in Odisha by Tech Mahindra

Saral Rozgar job card by IT major Tech Mahindra launched in Odisha state on Wednesday to enable job seekers connect with prospective employers over a digital platform.

The initiative, Saral Rozgar, will provide simple and low cost service to employers and undergraduate candidates by connecting them over mobile phones.

To avail the service, job seekers will have to buy a Saral Rozgar card available at retail telecom outlets for Rs 50 and register through a voice call by dialling the number 1860-180-1100 from any location in the State. Once registered, the candidates can create online resumes and connect with potential corporate employers.

To make it convenient for the users, the service has been made available in eight Indian languages, including Odia.

Moreover, the employers can reach the candidates through SMS or voice call in their regional language. Candidates can then connect with the employers directly.

The card will be valid for a period of 60 days after which a candidate can opt for another card if the first attempt is unsuccessful.

According to the information submitted in the Assembly in March last year, more than 11 lakh youths have registered themselves in various employment exchanges of the state. The initiative aimed to engage two lakh job seekers and employers in the state in 2015.

At present, the Saral Rozgar has more than 1.5 lakh job openings in 100 plus job categories.
