Sarala Mahabharata translated in Hindi by Odisha Sahitya Akademy
Recently Odia ‘Sarala Mahabharata’, penned by Adikabi Sarala Das translated in Hindi language by Odisha Sahitya Akademy.
The Hindi edition will be released at the India International Centre, Delhi on September 17, said Odisha’s culture minister Ashok Chandra Panda.
The translation, is aimed at reaching out to wider readers. The work is a unique literally document with ample testimony on the classical status of Odia language.

Culture and Tourism Minister Ashok Chandra Panda and President of the Central Sahitya Akademi, Delhi Dr Biswanath Prasad Tiwari will attend the event.
The book release would be followed by a seminar on ‘Subaltern Voice in Contemporary Indian Fiction’ in which renowned academicians and critics would present their views.
An exhibition-cum-sale of the works published by the Akademy was also being organised on the occasion, Panda added.
