Startup fair by Odisha government for new start-ups in March-April

Odisha government is looking forward to organise a Startup fair for creating a start-up ecosystem in the State during March-April.

The Startup fair will be organised over a period of two to three days and 300-400 start up companies and young entrepreneurs from across the country will participate in it, Secretary of Water Resources and Information Technology Department, Pradip Kumar Jena said.

The Government should look on giving employment opportunities to young inspiring minds rather than engaging in directly employing them, he added.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik recently said the state would shortly formulate a separate policy for the development of start-up projects.

Odisha Startup

The state government is planning to set up incubators in the state to assist start-ups. “Odisha is one of the most promising states in India with significant potential for the growth of start-ups,” Naveen said.

The event would definitely boost the State’s plan to be a start-up hub, as noted established national and multinational start-ups will be attracted through this programme.

Odisha’s Department of Industries, Department of IT and the Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE) a global entrepreneur organisation will organise it together.
