90 students from Odisha cleared JEE Advanced

At least 90 students from Odisha have made it to the all-India merit list of the JEE Advanced examination 2014, the results of which were announced recently.

Sattwik Deb Mishra of DAV Public School (Chandrasekharpur) emerged as the state topper securing the all-India rank of 131.

A total of 29 students of DAV, Chandrasekharpur and 25 of the Mother’s Public School (MPS) in Bhubaneswar have secured impressive ranks.

The results are available on the website http://jeeadv.iitd.ac.in/ and students can get their rank by entering their JEE (Advanced) 2014 roll number and date of birth on the website, informed IIT authorities.

The ranks will help students to secure admissions to various Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) in Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Chennai, Mandi, Patna, Roorkee, Ropar and Varanasi.

This apart, the students can also apply to Indian School of Mines in Dhanbad. There are a total of 9,784 seats in 16 IITs and ISM Dhanbad.

Architecture aspirants having cleared the JEE Advanced exam will be required to attempt the Architecture Aptitude Test that will be conducted on June 26.
