Women in Odisha politics

As the country celebrated the International Women’s Day recently, statistics reveal that India lags behind many countries, when it comes to women’s participation in politics.

Candidates from various political parties are filing their nomination papers for the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly Polls, in their respective constituencies of Odisha.

Till now, BJD has given ticket to 16 women candidates, Congress and BJP have given tickets to 10 women candidates each in this election.
