2014 Plus Two exam results published

The results of the Plus Two examinations 2014 for Science, Arts and Commerce conducted by the Odisha Council of Higher Education (CHSE) have been published.

The result booklet was formally inaugurated by the state Higher Education minister Pradeep Panigrahi at 10 am today at the State Secretariat in the presence of senior CHSE officials.

A total of 68.36 percent students cleared the annual Plus Two (+2) examination.

While the pass percentage in the Arts stream is 68.19%, the pass percentage in Science, Commerce and Vocational stream is 70.13%, 54.14% and 55.23% respectively.

While as many as 1,34,315 students have cleared the Arts exams, 60,119 and 17,796 students have passed in the Science and Commerce disciplines.

In the Arts stream, 11,778 have passed in first division, 22,993 in second and 96,618 in third division.

In the Science stream, 15,953 students have passed in first division, 21,417 in second and 21,219 in third division.

In the Commerce stream, 3,480 have passed in the first division, 3,123 in second and 11,035 in third division.

The pass percentage of the Regular and ex-Regular students is 57.03 and 47.90 respectively.

However, the girls have excelled with a pass percentage of 72.85 compared to 64.17 percent of the boys in the examination this year.

While Balasore district has topped in the Science results with a pass rate of 86.16%, Nayagarh district has topped in the Arts and Commerce streams in terms of pass rate.

On the other hand, Kalahandi, Nuapada and Deogarh districts have posted lowest pass rates in Arts, Science and Commerce respectively.

While Nayagarh district has the highest pass percentage with 83.56, Kalahandi district has the lowest with 49.79 percent.

Students can get their results from the result booklets or they can browse http://orissaresults.nic.in and http://orinic.in/chseorissa portals.

They can also know their results through Type CHSE14 and send to 7682899899 or through other SMS by typing ORI12 and send to 58888.

The students will be provided with the certificates on June 2, the Higher Education minister announced.
