Amrita Nayak of Odisha in Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2016 video

Amrita Nayak, playback singer from Odisha has been selected in Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2016 audition round, an all new season with a brand new format.

In this promo video, Amrita is singing ‘Hai Rama Yeh Kya Hua’ song from A. R. Rahman’s ‘Rangeela’ film, in front of judges and they praised her style of singing here.

The mentors include composer duo Sajid-Wajid, singer-musician Mika Singh and music composer Pritam Chakraborty. Aditya Narayan is hosting the current season of the show.

Amrita Nayak is asked to sing in front of 34 accomplished music personalities (4 mentors and 30 jury members). Each contestant is given 100 seconds to sing and prove their mettle. Once the contestant starts singing, the jury members start giving their votes in the form of green tick marks. If the contestant gets more than 50% of these votes, he/she moves to the next round called Super Sau (Super 100).

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, one of the oldest shows on Indian Television has returned with a fresh season after a hiatus of four years, and we must say that like always, the show is a delight to watch even in its revamped avatar.
