Barnali Hota from Odisha made it big as she along with her band Euphony was declared the first runner-up at the grand finale of the popular music reality show ‘Dil Hai Hindustani’, aired on Star Plus.
It was a tough moment for Euphony Band and Haitham as these two were the finalists of Dil Hai Hindustani. It was the guy from Oman, Haitham Mohammad Rafi who took home the trophy and Rs 25 lakhs. The third spot was taken by Simran Raj while Ankita-Shashwati was on the fourth place. Nastya and Amitanshu took the fifth place.
Barnali with the Euphony band received the winning prize of Rs 10 lakh cheque. The musical journey had started three months ago and concluded yesterday with celebration at the grand finale.
The grand finale of Dil Hai Hindustani began with the singers giving a tribute to the iconic Raj Kapoor song, Dil Hai Hindustani. It was followed by a performance on Malhari by Euphony Band and Barnali.
Sonakshi Sinha came in to promote her film Noor that releases on April 21. Ajay-Atul of Agneepath and Sairat fame and made a rousing entry of Shree Ganesha. They performed on Mujhme Kahin with Natsya and Amitanshu. The super talented composers performed on Sairat’s Yaad Lagla with Euphony Band and Barnali.
