Bhubaneswar to Jharsuguda flight service by Alliance Air begins

Here is good news for air passengers as the Alliance Air starts domestic flight services from Jharsuguda to Bhubaneswar and Raipur from June 5.

On the inaugural day, 53 passengers boarded the first flight to Bhubaneswar. The airline has deployed its 70-seater ATR 72 aircraft.

Joint Secretary of Civil Aviation department Usha Padhi, Odisha state Health Minister Naba Das, Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari and Brajraj Nagar MLA, Mohanty along with officials of Alliance Air joined the inauguration program.

The daily flights by the Alliance Air from the Veer Surendra Sai Airport (VSSA) in Jharsuguda to Bhubaneswar and Raipur will be operated under Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN) scheme, informed Jharsuguda Airport Director Sudesh Kumar Chouhan.

The Bhubaneswar-bound flight from Veer Surendra Sai Airport (VSSA) in Jharsuguda will leave at 10.35 am and land in Bhubaneswar at 11.40 am. During the return trip, the flight from Biju Patnaik International Airport will depart at 9.05 am and land in Jharsuguda at 10.10 am.

Notably, the Alliance Air, which is a wholly owned Subsidiary of Air India, is currently operating air services to 53 destinations including Bengaluru, Bhopal, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Bikaner, Mumbai, Coimbatore, Chandigarh, Chennai and Vizag.
