Akshaya Tritiya festival is mainly observed by Hindus. It is an auspicious day in Hindu Calendar. This festival is also known as Akha Teej or Akshya Teej. Akshaya Tritiya is a Hindu and Jain holy day that falls on the third Tithi (Lunar day/Sun & moon both are in chorus peak of brightness) of Bright Half (Shukla Paksha) of Hindi month of Baisakha.
On Akshaya Tritiya, Hindu people worship the Lord Vishnu/Laxmi/Ganesh/Parshuram. Some people are also taking fast, making a charity to needy people and purchase gold/silver/properties and long term assets. The word “Akshaya”, is a Sanskrit word. It explores the meaning that one can’t be diminishes or faded. Akshaya Tritiya day is believed to be good for wedding.
