Online booking of Jayadev Bhawan soon
Odisha government has decided to introduce online booking of Jayadev Bhawan auditorium from October. Auditorium apart, people can reserve the Jayadev Bhawan’s backside ground and exhibition hall online. Payment can be made online as well.
The National Informatics Centre (NIC), a central government organization which provides e-Government/e- Governance solutions in the country, has developed a software to do away with the manual booking.
While an online booking counter will be opened at Jayadev Bhawan, its manager will be made the nodal officer of e-booking.
There will be a provision in the booking form for uploading registration certificates of organizations for verification of credentials. Payment will be made through integrated online treasury management system (IOTMS). Once the online booking is made, information about the organizations would automatically be referred to DCP office for verification of the credentials. An URL along with user ID and password would be given to the DCP office for approval and rejection of the applications online. After DCP’s approval, an SMS would be sent to the organizer to make the full payment.
The Jayadev Bhawan, established by the state government in 1976, is managed by information and public relations department. The capacity of the auditorium is 377. It is a major convention centre where several government and non-government programmes and seminars are organised almost every day.
From next month, the state government would renovate Jayadev Bhawan by setting up a four-storey building on the campus. The building will have a library, a mini-auditorium and a dining hall. (Source – The Times of India)
