Bollywood film producer to set up a film institute in Bhubaneswar

Bollywood film producer Mustaq Nadiadwala announced to set up a film institute in Bhubaneswar. The proposed film institute will offer various courses related to films and film-making technologies.

“Bollywood is flooded with talents from Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar and North Eastern states who struggle a lot to get their skills recognized. The institute will ease their struggle,” said Nadiadwala. The film institute will be set up over five acres of land at a cost of Rs 50 crore.

“We are hopeful of starting operation within 6 to 12 months. Short term and long term courses on acting, direction, film making, sound engineering and editing will be offered to youngsters,” said Nadiadwala, who laid the foundation stone of the institute at Patrapada area of Bhubaneswar on Monday.

He said, aptitude counsellors will test the interested candidates and provide career counselling and guidance. The institute will have state-of-the-art equipment and technology, which will give an edge to students of the institute from others.

“Odisha has many beautiful locations for shooting and the state has rich art and culture. The resources from the institute will attract producers from across the country to Odisha and give a boost to tourism and hospitality industry as well. We also have plans to set up a film city in the state in future,” he pointed out.
