IndusInd Bank Odisha head suspended for sexual harassment

Odisha state head of IndusInd Bank, K Surendra was suspended on Saturday, who allegedly sexually harassed three women colleagues.

The victims lodged complaints at Saheed Nagar police station on March 30.

Sources said, the women employees were working at the bank’s Bhubaneswar Bomikhal branch. In their complaint, they alleged that the branch manager had been sexually harassing them for past several months.

IndusInd Bank’s internal committee on sexual harassment will soon arrive in the city to probe into the matter, a senior official of the bank said. The official added that, on the basis of the findings of the committee, appropriate action will be initiated against those who are found guilty of misconduct.

The accused is on the run.
