Jayiram Samal (Jayee) to get OFFA lifetime achievement award

Renowned Odia comedian Jayiram Samal aka Jayee will get Lifetime Achievement Award at the 5th Royal Stag Odia Film Fair Awards (OFFA) at Utkal Mandap in Bhubaneswar on 28 February 2015 (Saturday).

He will receive a cash award of Rs 10,000 cash, a citation and a gift.

“Along with Jayi, other actors from Odia film industry will be awarded in 32 different categories,” said chairman of the award ceremony Ullas Chandra Behura in a press meet at Hotel Presidency.

Jairam Samal has over 300 works to his credit including films, television serials and plays. He started his career in the 1970 as comic actor. His trademark laugh has always been the attraction of his films.

The entry passes for the Odia Film Fair Awards event will be issued at Utkal Mandap on February 26 and 27.
