Khandagiri Mela to begin in Bhubaneswar from 1 February 2020

Khandagiri Mela will begin at the foothills of Khandagiri and Udayagiri hills in Bhubaneswar from 1st February 2020.

A large number of saints, monks and followers of various Hindu religious sections from across the country assembled on the outskirts of the smart city for the 10-day-long religious and cultural fair.

Khandagiri ‘Kumbha’ Mela takes off every year – on the auspicious day of Magha Saptami, the 7th day of lunar month of Magha as per Hindu calendar (English month – January or February).

Kiosks selling items such as wooden utensils, bamboo, stone carvings and various household items came up at the Khandagiri Mela.

In addition, visitors can also relish a wide range of local delicacies and enjoy performances by 12 Odia Jatra parties from 5th to 16th February 2020.
