Popular odia melody singer Mohammad Sajid passed away at his residence in Bari lane, Khatbin Sahi, Cuttack.

Mohammad Sajid was only 54 years-old when he passed away on Wednesday. He was suffering from jaundice due to liver infection, his family informed.

The body was taken out in a procession across the neighbourhood before being buried in the Satichaura burial ground in the city.

The popular Habib melody lead singer had magic in his voice. The melody stage was set on fire with his voice. The music lovers were enthralled with his rendition of evergreen Odia songs like – a panwala babu, malo mali bichha kamudila ratire kali, le leija lachak mani, mo jalare jaichi phasi lo and others.
