Video: Nabakalebara documentary film by Nila Madhab Panda
Acclaimed film-maker Nila Madhab Panda’s documentary on the century’s first Nabakalebara, titled ‘God’s Own People’, was released in the presence of CM Naveen Patnaik and Governor SC Jamir today.
A special screening of the documentary was done at INOX multiplex in Bhubaneswar. The 80-minute long documentary has been sponsored by the State Culture and Tourism department.
“The documentary film has been wonderfully made. This will act as a guide to the upcoming generation on the various aspects of world famous Nabakalebara festival celebrated in Odisha,” said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik after the special screening.
“The documentary has been made to be viewed around the globe. I am sure this will be appreciated by many Odias and others all over the world,” said Nilamadhav Panda.
Nila Madhab Panda informed that the full length documentary would be released worldwide in a few month’s time. Panda dreams of screening the documentary at various national and international film festivals.
