Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the venue of Balasore Bikash Utsav around 11 am and started his speech in Odia and paid obeisance to the Lord of the land, Lord Jagannath.
He too paid his respects to the luminaries of Odisha, who had contributed a lot for formation of separate State Odisha on the language basis. He paid special tributes to Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Senapati and Kantakabi Laxmikant Mohapatra.
Prime Minister, though didn’t name the BJD Government, said the Government here is in a deep slumber and still to rise to the development trend the whole country is going through now. “Lord Jagannath has made Odisha rich in natural resources. The State is still poor,” lamented Modi in his speech at the Vikash Utsav held in Balasore.
Claiming that the BJP-ruled States are on a development path, the Prime Minister wanted to know why people of the natural resources-rich Odisha go outside to some western States in search of work. He ended his speech wishing to know from the gathering whether they want to progress or not, and urged them to join him in the slogan if they want to do so.
