Newborn baby eaten by stray dog inside an Odisha hospital

In a heart-rending incident, the dead body of a newborn baby girl was seen eaten by a stray dog inside the Dhenkanal district headquarter hospital in Odisha.

How the body of the infant reached the place is yet to be ascertained.

Sources suspect that the dead body was abandoned inside the hospital. While the incident has sent ripples in the locality, the local ADMO said that there have been no infant deaths at the Dhenkanal hospital in the past two days.

“The baby was not from our hospital. It is possible that someone dumped the body here which was later taken away by the dog,” said Dhenkanal ADMO Sujatarani Mishra.
