A class-IX student of Odisha’s Berhampur has earned praise from Russian President Vladimir Putin for the innovative water dispenser he had created to solve the world’s water crisis, at an event in Sochi, Russia.
P Biswanath Patra, a student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Berhampur, was one of the 25 Indian students who participated in the programme held from November 28 to December 8.
He displayed this water dispenser at the Deep Technology Education Program conducted in collaboration with NITI Aayog’s Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) and hosted by Russia’s SIRIUS. The event spanned ten days from November 28 to December 8.
He was congratulated by the Odisha Chief Minister for his feat, Naveen Patnaik. The CM took his congratulatory message to Twitter and wrote, ‘Congratulate Class IX student of Berhampur, P. Biswanath Patra for being a part of Deep Technology Education Program in Sochi, Russia with his innovative water dispenser. His innovation to solve the water crisis has been appreciated by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Best Wishes.’
