Odisha boy marries an American girl in Odia style wedding

True love knows no boundaries. Anna Monika (28) of the United States of America (USA) proved this true when she tied the knot with Odisha boy Animesh Das (30) as per Hindu customs on Saturday in the nondescript village of Pradhanapada under Rajkanika block of Kendrapara district.

Animesh, a software engineer, met Monika while working in California.

“I met Monika in California in 2015,” said Animesh Das, adding, “the marriage is being solemnised with the blessings of our parents.”

American girl Anna Monika, along with her parents and younger sister, flew to Odisha last week for the marriage.

The formal approval by the two families led to the marriage which was held recently as per Hindu rituals and Jagannath culture.
