Odisha-based cycle club’s Vietnam-Cambodia International Cycle Trip

Odisha-based cycle club, Bhubaneswar Cycling and Adventure Club (BCAC), went on a Vietnam-Cambodia international trip from November 1 to 18. This is a first of its kind initiative from Odisha to develop and promote worldwide friendship through cycling.

A seven-men group of BCAC will start expedition in Vietnam and end in Cambodia. The expedition will be the longest the club has undertaken to date. Last year a group of BCAC members had completed a 1,300 km cycling trip from Bhubaneswar to Bhutan.

While Sanjeeb Kumar Panda, a senior IPS officer is leading the Team, other Members are Sudhanwa Dash, Ajay Kumar Nanda, Gopal Krushna Sahu, Bibhu Prasad Kar, Devadutta Kumar and Manoj Kumar Prusty.

Mr. Panda, a warm hearted Top Cop has indomitable spirit and inspires Gen X for cycling and adventure sports, which BCAB is promoting in the State of Odisha.

Team will cover 2000 Kilometers in Vietnam to Cambodia in 18 days. Vietnam, which offers one of the best environment for cycling along with the coast offers beautiful opportunities to enjoy the beauty of nature both sea and mountains with green cover.

They will start from Hanoi on 1 November and will cover Than Hoa, Vinn, Hue, Danang, Quang Ngal, Tui Hoa, Nhatrang, Vinhtan and Ho Chi Minh City by 16 November.

Cyclists will cross the Border of Cambodia at Bavet and will reach Phnom Penh on 18 November, sources said.
