Odisha CM announces Rs 10 lakh ex gratia for families of martyred jawans

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced an ex gratia of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of two Odisha jawans martyred in the Pulwama terror attack.

Earlier in the day, the CM spoke to the bereaved family members of martyred Prasanna Sahu of Shikhar village in Jagatsinghpur district and Manoj Behera of Ratanpur village in Cuttack district over telephone and conveyed his deep sympathy towards them.

Patnaik later observed an one-minute silence prayer at the State Secretariat paying tribute to the martyred jawans.

The CM took to the Twitter to ess his deep grief over the death of two jawans. Praying for peace to the departed souls, the CM expressed condolences to the bereaved family members.

Patnaik also directed Finance Minister Sasibhusan Behera and Health Minister Pratap Jena to pay a visit to the bereaved family of the Odia jawans.
