Odisha’s first Aadhaar-based ATM launched by DCB Bank
First Aadhaar-based ATM of Odisha launched by DCB Bank in Dhenkanal branch that accepts a customer’s Aadhaar number and fingerprint impression, in addition to the usual debit card security options.
A user have to punch in their 12-digit Aadhaar card number or swipe the card in order to make a transaction from this Aadhaar-based ATM. But instead of putting a PIN number, the customer would be required to give biometric details such as thumb impression.
However, only DCB Bank account holders would be able to avail the facility. The launch coincided with the inauguration of five new branches of the private sector bank in Bijipur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Palla and Pathar Pada.
DCB Bank Managing Director and CEO Murali M Natrajan said, “We are delighted to launch Aadhaar-based ATM in Odisha. This is a unique and wonderful facility. Odisha is a very important market for us. The new ATMs and branches are a testimony to our commitment to the state.”
