Odisha JEE Entrance Exam 2014 begins

About 40,000 students appear in the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) to be held across 72 centres in Odisha today.

The examination will be held in two sittings – first from 9 am-1 pm and second from 2.30 pm-4.30 pm amid tight security.

As directed by the OJEE authorities, the candidates arrived at the centres an hour before the commencement of the examinations with the admit cards that had downloaded from the OJEE websites.

The offline examinations, conducted in two sittings of two hours each are being held at 72 centres in 20 cities across the state of which 16 centres are in Bhubaneswar.

The question pattern will be multiple choice type. Each question shall have four options and the examinee shall have to blacken the correct answer. There is no negative marking. The answer sheet consists of two pages, the top one is the original answer sheet, whereas the annexed one is the carbon copy.

According to OJEE secretary Priyabrata Sahu, the candidates this year are allowed to keep the question papers with them that would help them compare their scores after the test.

Earlier, the question papers were parts of the answer-sheets.

The results will be declared on May 30.
