Ortel offers free broadband to all cable TV subscribers now
Ortel Communications Limited has introduced free broadband offer for all its cable TV subscribers as a special value added service.
The offer includes a monthly free data limit for a year and the subscribers will be charged a nominal tariff for usage exceeding the limit.
The complimentary offer is applicable for subscribers in Odisha, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh for a year.
However, if any subscriber wants to migrate to any other existing plans, he or she will be allowed to do so even within the offer period of one year. This free offer plan comes with unlimited upload data option.
President and CEO of Ortel Communications, Bibhu Prasad Rath said the aim is to facilitate internet facility at affordable rates to all Ortel customers.
Ortel recently deployed DOCSIS 3.0 to provide faster Internet surfing experience to its subscribers. While the company has invested in laying its own network with reverse path compatibility, it has also launched mega speed broadband with 50 mbps using DOCSIS 3.0 technology in select areas of Bhubaneswar.

Just to clarify. This is just for all the new customers who will be willing to join ortel as new customers, nothing for their existing customers. Only upload will be free, download charges will be added to your bill. I mean who in their right mind, would willingly commit suicide right?
Ortel is no. 1 worst service provider in market till date. Worst quality service they are offering in the market. After getting a subscriber, they don’t listen anything. In the matter of collection of subscription they are very punctual. Customer Care is very frustrated. I was also a customer of Ortel Digital & Broadband for 3 years.

THE NEWS IS AMBIGUOUS .IT DOES NOT CLARIFY ABOUT THE DOWN LOAD LIMIT PERMISSIBLE , THE CEILING ON DOWNLOADABLE DATA AND THE EHE EXTRA DATA CHARGES BEYOND PERMISSIBLE LIMIT. THE PRESENT SPEED IS VERY SLOW COMPARED TO THE CLAIM BY THE ORTELL ITD.HENCE, I WONDER HOW FAR IT IS PRACTICABLE. LET US WAIT AND SEE , HOW EFFICIENTLY THE COMPANY IS GOING TO IMPLEMENT THE UNEXPECTED & DOUBTFUL SCHEME.
