Papu Pom Pom ill, to be air-lifted to New Delhi AIIMS

Popular comedian Papu Pom Pom will be air-lifted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi in an air-ambulance for treatment tomorrow as his health condition has deteriorated.

The well-known actor is undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a private medical college and hospital in Bhubaneswar for pancreas-related ailment.

Notably, Papu Pom Pom was shooting for the upcoming Odia movie ‘4 Idiots’ in Thailand where he fell ill. The shooting schedule was cancelled and he was rushed to Bhubaneswar for medical consultation. After investigations, the doctor advised hospitalization and since last Friday night, he is undergoing treatment for pancreas-related disease.

The actor hailing from Kaptipada in Mayurbhanj district has spent over a decade in the cinema and television industry. In his sterling career, he has acted in around 15 movies.

Apart from his successful run, he had unsuccessfully contested from Champua assembly segment in the last election.
