The Department of Higher Education (DHE) will begin admission into Plus Two in the colleges of Odisha under Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) from 26th May 2014.
Last year, admission into junior colleges began from May 27 but this year it was apprehended that the overall process will be delayed due to a confusion over the High School Certificate (HSC) results announced by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE).
The online admission will be conducted by SAMS for all the Plus Two (+2) colleges which directly come under DHE. The colleges run by other Government department will have to opt for offline admission and their details will be updated by SAMS later.
Sources said a Common Application Form (CAF) will be available online from May 26 to June 9. The last date for offline submission of CAF is June 9.
The result of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared today.
But the result of Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) has not been declared yet. If the result announcement gets delayed, DHE will take necessary steps to accommodate all the students.
