Jio to charge customers from 1 April, Rs 303 per month for 1 year

Reliance Jio held a big press conference today and announced Jio Prime membership. Before the press conference, it was expected that Reliance chairman Mukesh Ambani will make some announcements regarding Jio tariff plans and that is exactly what happened.

Reliance Jio will start charging customers from 1 April, but will offer sharply discounted prices for a year to those who sign up by the end of March, Chairman Mukesh Ambani said on Tuesday.

Jio now offers Jio Prime membership. This is available to current Jio subscribers as well as those who will come on the network before Happy New Year offer expires on March 31. Enrollment to the plan would cost a one-time fee of Rs 99.

The Jio Prime Members will get access to special Jio data plan. This plan will cost Rs 303 per month for 1 year. It will give subscribers unlimited data, subjected to 1GB FUP per day for full 4G speed data. This means for Rs 303, or in other words for Rs 10 per day, you will get unlimited data. Of this unlimited data 30GB or 1GB per day will be at full 4G speed.

Jio hasn’t yet revealed the exact data plans, except the offer for Jio Prime members. But Ambani said that Jio will offer the best data plans in the country. Jio will match any existing plan offered by any other Indian operator and then add 20 percent extra data on it, making its offer the best value for money.
