Rituraj Mohanty to perform at Bhubaneswar Toshali Mela
Latest singing sensation and winner of India’s Raw Star reality show Rituraj Mohanty will perform at the 9th Toshali National Crafts Mela to begin in Bhubaneswar from December 15.
His December 21 live performance will be the first in the state after being pronounced winner of the popular musical reality show.
Artisans and weavers from across the country will assemble at the 13-day crafts fair with an array of handloom and handicrafts. Besides the crafts products, a line-up of cultural shows has been planned to entertain visitors.
Among the major attractions are famous singer Lakhwinder Wadali and group from Punjab, Indian Idol 4 winner Rahdeep Chatterjee, and singer and standup comedian Sugandha Mishra. Besides, folk and martial dances from different states including Odisha will be performed every evening.
“It is expected that around 12 lakh people will visit the fair this year against last year’s 10 lakh. The targeted business from the mela is around Rs 10 crore,” Textile minister Snehangini Chhuria.
