Sand art on Lata Mangeshkar’s birthday by Sudarsan Pattnaik

Sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik dedicates a sand sculpture to legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar on her birthday.

Born on September 28, 1929, India’s nightingale Lata Mangeshkar celebrates her 87th birthday today. Sudarsan Pattnaik created a sand sculpture of Lataji with a wish- “App Jio Hazaaron Saal” at Bhatye Beach, Ratnagiri in Maharashtra.

I am a huge fan of Lataji and I wish her a very happy birthday, Sudarsan said after completing a 4-feet tall portrait of the living legend in sand. It took 2 tons of sand and 2 hours to complete the work that drew hundreds of tourists and Lata fans to the beach.

Sudarsan So far he has been participated in more than 50 International sand sculpture championship and festivals around the World and has won many prizes for our country.

Melody queen Lata Mangeshkar won’t celebrate her 87th birthday today (Wednesday) as 18 Indian soldiers recently died “so brutally in Uri”. She is saddened by the darkness all around, including the deteriorating relations with Pakistan. But she hopes they stay happy and live in peace.
