Sarathi Baba invested crores in Odia films, serials, bhajans
Sarathi Baba alias Santosh Raul invested crores of rupees in Odisha entertainment industry, as per reports published in leading daily Sambad.
Odisha Crime Branch police has already interrogated Ollywood actor Akhil Patnaik and has served summons to some actors connected with Srimad Sarathi Production.
Akhil has produced an Odia film ‘Bachelor’ under Srimad Sarathi Production. Akhil has acted as lead hero in the cinema.
As per an investigation carried out by Sambad, leading producers and directors roped in Sarathi Baba to make Odia movies and TV serials. In return, they cleverly highlighted the charisma of Sarathi Baba in these products. They also used to give Satyam a chance to have fun with the actors.

Sources said while Satyam, the so-called son of the self-styled god man managed the affairs of the production house for name’s sake, it was actually a mysterious woman who controlled the real strings. This mysterious woman who is said to have been deserted by her husband is yet to come under the Crime Branch’s scanner.
The woman has gone missing after Sarathi Baba was nabbed. Some knowledgeable Ollywood actors have revealed on condition of anonymity to leading Odia daily Sambad that several facts about the transactions of the production house running into crores can be ascertained if this woman is traced.
A most reliable source revealed that this mysterious woman used to visit the Trishna Enclave bungalow of Satyam at Patia here in a luxury car every Friday for the last one year. She used to be accompanied by Satyam and his driver. Leaving the woman alone in the house, Satyam and his driver used to leave for the apartment at Shree Vihar to sleep.
On the other hand, another luxury car used to come to the bungalow late in the night, in which Sarathi used to come secretly and stay there for the night. Sarathi, along with the woman, used to return to Barimul ashram in the wee hours. It was Satyam who used to lock the house after their departure. Satyam used to address this woman as ‘aunty’. The woman, who had acted in a bhajan album with Akhil, is believed to wield strong influence on both Sarathi and Satyam.

It may be noted that Sarathi started with producing Pravachan CDs for self-promotion. The CDs were initially produced in a studio in Cuttack and sold to his devotees for a nominal price. Later, the Baba opened a secret office in Chandrasekharpur area of Bhubaneswar to manage this business. This office later turned out to be the office of ‘Srimad Sarathi Productions’.
The production house was being run by his son Satyam and a music director. While two more houses were bought for this production house, another building was being constructed by a local at Magnetix Square for their upcoming devotional TV channel.
Things, however, have changed fast for Sarathi Baba ever since his arrest.
