Sisira Sarasa fair began on Bhubaneswar Exhibition Ground
Sisira Sarasa fair for 2015 year began on Bhubaneswar Exhibition Ground on Friday.
The annual fair is being organized by the Odisha Rural Development and marketing Society (ORMAS) in association with the ministry of rural development.
Sisira Sarasa fair seems to be the one-stop shop for those who want to give their homes a decor makeover. Art vendors from across the country will display a wide range of handicraft and rural products at the 12-day fair.
About 600 artisans from 25 states and union territories will take part in the fair.
The main objective of the fair is to serve as a meeting ground for talented artists, painters, weavers, sculptors and craftsmen from all over India and also to provide them the platform to display their products.
Dry flowers and bamboo crafts from the North-east, carpets and shawls from Jammu and Kashmir, coir and wood craft from Tamil Nadu, artificial jewelry from Rajasthan, metal works from Madhya Pradesh, dokra and iron crafts from Chhattisgarh, Kantha stitch work from West Bengal and leather products from Rajasthan, on offer at Sisira Sarasa handicraft fair.
