Tarang TV is about to start a new reality show ‘Tapoi’ for talented girls of Odisha.
Based on the popular Khudurukuni Osha rituals, which is observed in villages and suburbs of Odisha, the show will test the courage, patience and intelligence of the participating girls. In the different steps, the participants will be tested for different survival skills. The winner stands to win a crown along with a lot of gifts.
The participants will be shortlisted from coastal Odisha as well as different parts of the state through auditions and the process has already started. Those who audition will be tested for their abilities to perform and their creativity. Different episodes will see several Ollywood and small screen stars as judges.
Speaking about the show, Jagi Mangat Panda, Director of Odisha Television Network, says, “As the Khudurukuni Brata is going to start from August, we have created this show to go with the rituals. And we are sure it will gain popularity quite fast, just like other shows in the OTV network.”
The makers of the show, which will be telecast on Tarang TV, from August 31 on every Friday and Saturday from 9.30 pm to 10.30 pm, are expecting massive participation by girls from all over Odisha.
Actress Elina Samantray is part of the Tapoi program.
